TWO MONTHS TO GET YOU READY FOR MODERN SUPPORT RAISING.
The Digital Missions Accelerator is for missionaries and Christian workers who want their ministries to stay visible in a crazy modern world. The Accelerator is a 4-day in-person event sandwiched between two months of Virtual Labs.
WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH…
Four days of in-person, hands-on coaching and two months of Virtual Labs will help you:
Build your personal website
Create a communications strategy
Learn how to write modern newsletters
Build a bank of content for online posting
Develop a professional brand
Tackle social media with confidence
HOW THE WORLD COMMUNICATES HAS CHANGED. HOW WE RAISE SUPPORT NEEDS TO CHANGE AS WELL.
In the past, missionaries sent newsletters to their supporters because that was the only option they had.
Today, the newsletter is only one of many options for updating, educating, engaging, and encouraging supporters.
We help missionaries pick the right tools to quickly onboard new supporters and build better relationships with the ones they already have.
Using websites to get overseas…
(Andrew & Ashlynn, OMS)
Andrew and Ashlynn are prepping to move to Japan where 98% of the country is unreached with the good news of Jesus.
Staying visible once you get overseas…
(Hannah, OMS)
Hannah is teaching kids about Jesus every day in Budapest, opening up conversations with families who have heard little to nothing about what Jesus has to offer.
Shaping public opinion around your mission…
(Dr. Tim Orr)
Dr. Orr uses his platform to create a vast library of articles and resources for engaging in interfaith dialogues.
Providing resources to those you are serving…
(Erik Scott, One Village Group)
Erik Scott (director of One Village) uses his platform to help missionaries stay up to date with changes in the field and take advantage of modern tools.
PROGRAM TIMELINE
-
To join an Accelerator Cohort you will need to register at least one month prior to the In-Person Intensive. This will allow you to complete the Preparation Phase in time.
-
Before you get to your In-Person Intensive, you will need to complete some Virtual Labs and a few assignments. This will ensure you are ready to hit the ground running at the Intensive. This includes two one-on-one coaching sessions.
-
This is your four-day in-person event. You will complete four days of hands-on workshops and labs, building your professional brand, personal website, and a bank of content for sharing with supporters.
-
Don’t worry! We don’t leave you alone after the In-Person Intensive. Virtual Labs will be available to get your questions answered and receive follow-up coaching.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT US (OUR VALUES):
Our primary goal is to help you share Jesus more. If we’re not doing that, we’re doing it wrong…
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.” (Romans 1:16, NIV)
01
We believe support raising and communicating is about serving. It’s less about you and more about your supporters.
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave.” (Matthew 20:27, NIV)
02
We believe that support raisers have made a promise to their supporters. We owe them a lot more than half-hearted sporadic communication.
“When you tell God you’ll do something, do it - now. God takes no pleasure in foolish drivel. Vow it, then do it. Far better not to vow in the first place than to vow and not pay up. Don’t let your mouth make a total sinner of you.” (Ecclesiastes 5:4-7, Message)
03
We believe that you win online (and offline) by giving, not taking. So we teach you how to give more than you take.
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” (Luke 6:38 NIV)
04
Our goal is to train good communicators, not social media stars.
We’re not asking missionaries to chase ‘likes’ and followers on social media. Instead, we stress consistent, clear, creative communication with their partners in ministry.
05
We believe that when missionaries are done with our training, their lives should be easier, not harder.
You already have a lot on your plate. While taking care of supporters does require effort, the tools we provide should make that process better, not harder.
